Happy Halloween friends! Hope you have some fun tonight with your family and friends. Things sure have changed and evolved over the years as the kids are growing up. I love to keep up with holiday traditions but sometimes it just doesn’t work out and I don’t get bent out of shape about it if it doesn’t happen every year. This October we did manage to hit Uncle Shucks and Hillcrest Apple Orchard over Fall break. I have a feeling for trick or treating tonight, the boys will run ahead of us around the neighborhood, Riley may not want to do more than 5 houses as he would rather hand out candy, and Reese is going to another neighborhood with her friends. That kind of makes me sad 😦 She asked me if she could use a pillow case for candy this year and not her pink pumpkin bucket she has used the last 10 years. They are all growing up way too fast and being more independent. Here are a few of our fun times this month as well as a flash back as to what the month of October used to be like when our kids were little. The best was the family photo or should I say ‘trying’ to get a family photo back in 2009. This post was too fun not to share again 8 years later.
Uncle Shucks
Hillcrest Orchards
Johns Creek PD trunk or treat
You know why there aren’t any photos of my kids from the trunk or treat? Can you guess why? You can thank Ellen for getting this one picture to show why I didn’t take any pictures of my kids…. “Hey Mom, can you hold this!?”
And here is a blast from the past: How many pictures does it take to get ONE family photo?
From a Blog post back in November 2009 …. pictures aren’t great
SOME THINGS TO TAKE NOTE OF IN THESE PHOTOS (Yes, of course I am the only one that would notice these things):
1. Looks like Riley walked in the front yard without his shoes – note the dirty socks
2. Why is Colin missing a sock?
3. Riley and Reese fighting over a Halloween mask
NOT PICTURED: Karl and Fran’s Martini’s to get through the photo shoot
From our family to yours, We hope you have a Happy Halloween!
XXOO,
Fran
