I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet again and
go over everything ~ Adele
2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015….. It’s 2016? What the hell happened? Where did the time go since the last time I blogged about our crazy family? Oh, that’s right…. 4 kids under the age of 6 at the time and it’s been a blur ever since. No one tells you the first year with twins sucks! And then the years after that extra time is non-existent. I really wanted to keep going after that last blog post but I couldn’t keep up so I just stopped. One day last week I received an email that I had a new ‘follower’ for our blog. Not sure how she found it but when I saw that email I thought why not? I still don’t have loads of time but maybe an entry or two a week. That should be do-able.
I started this blog when the twins were born because everyone wanted to know Karl and Fran’s birth story. How did it happen? Why did it happen? Why so early? Born at 30 weeks? How long were they in the NICU? What were the sequence of events that night that started at 11:50 pm? How many hands were up your vijayjay (not kidding!)? How many EMT’s were at your house? Police cars? Ambulance’s? Oh, and a fire truck? Why a fire truck? I still don’t know why but I’d really like to know where my most favorite red ‘maternity’ tank top went. Why didn’t the hospital return that with our bed sheet that I was rolled up in and literally taken down the stairs!? Maybe they had to cut it off but then again, that was the only thing I had on while I was transported to the hospital, on all fours mind you… For more on that story go the beginning . You’ll laugh and you might cry from laughing too hard.
So here we are 5 years later with lots of tales to tell from our Rissland Adventure of ‘More Than Four’. Why do we call this blog ‘More Than Four’? Well, yes, we have 4 kids but one with #cdls and that brings a whole ‘nother level to our daily adventures but we wouldn’t trade it for anything! I won’t tell you everything because I don’t remember everything but all stories are real. When you have 4 kids it is constant chaos– sometimes controlled, sometimes not and I am reminded of that every day I walk into our house from the garage because it’s written on the door with chalkboard marker. Crazy stories you think you only hear in movies or are made up, but ours are real. So, the Rissland, Party of 6 is back! I can’t guarantee how often I will post but lets get this party started!
